Michael Meinhart is a composer, producer, sound designer and artist who’s creative foundation is rooted in the emotive power of music and the ability to marry the medium with the storytelling of film.
Starting his musical journey as an artist, Meinhart founded, composed and executed production on two albums for the progressive rock band, Socionic, creating compositions that infuse industrial and ambient layering within lush and organic arrangements. On “Identity”, Meinhart worked with acclaimed artist and product, Rhys Fulber (Delerium, Conjure One, FLA, Fear Factory, Josh Groban, Sarah McGlaughlin, etc) to collaborate and create unique sounds and expand the boundaries of the genre. Naturally gravitating to scoring, the composer draws influence and employs the unique emotive approach of other artists-turn-composers such as Hans Zimmer, Tom Holkenberg and Danny Elfman, blending ethereal electronic elements with organic instrumental performances to create soundscapes that move and guide the viewer through the experience of film via the emotion of music.
Continuing to explore new methods of emotional communication through music and art, Meinhart is currently working on several scores and songs for film as well as furthering his endeavors as an artist.
